Thomas Edward Lawrence, born on August 16, 1888, in Tremadoc, Wales, became legendary as Lawrence of Arabia. A British writer and soldier, he was recruited in 1911 by D.G. Hogarth to join an archaeological expedition to Carchemish. He played a key role in World War I as a junior officer in Egypt, where he met influential Arab leaders. His daring raids on the Damascus-Medina Railway and the capture of Aqaba in July 1917 cemented his fame. His experiences are chronicled in "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" and "Revolt in the Desert."

Birth Tremadoc, Wales is where Thomas Edward Lawrence was born on the 16th august, 1888.
What he done Lawrence T.E was a writer and British soldier who became famous for being named Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence was recruited by D.G Hogarth of ashmolen museum in 1911. and this was to help on a archaeological expedition led by Sir Finders Petrie at Carchemish, on the Euphrates.
World War 1 • As a junior officer in Egypt he was recruited by army intelligence in north Africa on the outbreak of the first world war. In Jiddah he was sent to meet important Arab leaders such as Faisal ibn Ali and nuri es said in October 1916.
World war 1 (again) • On the Damascus Medina Railway Lawrence of Arabia as he became known as carried out raids there . • In July 1917 his men also captured the port of Aqaba.
