This project focuses on crafting an impressionistic landscape using oil pastels, adhering to specific guidelines to enhance your artistic skills. Your artwork must showcase a clear foreground, middleground, background, and horizon line, filled with layered colors that avoid black. Utilize complementary colors for shading and include a variety of tints and shades. Start with colored thumbnail sketches using four color schemes: monochromatic, warm and cool, complementary, and analogous. Follow the creative process from bookwork on color to the final piece, which must fill the entire paper.
