Faculty of Technical Sciences • was founded on 18th May 1960 as the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering • is the largest faculty within the University of Novi Sad: • 11,000 students • more than 1 000 professors and other teaching and administrative staff • 13 departments • 10 administrative units • 31 research centers

  7. Faculty is accredited for conducting educational activities on: • 88 study programmеs • 73 study programmеs are accredited to teach in English

ACADEMIC STUDIES • Undergraduate academic studies (1st cycle studies) – last for 4 years (at least 240 ECTS credits). • Мaster academic studies (2nd cycle studies) – depending on the study program last for 1 year (at least 60 ECTS credits), 1.5 years (90 ЕСTS credits) or 2 years (120 ECTS credits). • Specialist academic studies (2nd cycle studies) – last for 1 year (at least 60 ECTS credits) or 2 years (at least 120 ECTS credits). • Doctoral academic studies (3rd cycle studies) – last for 3 years and are worth at least 180 ЕСTS credits.

SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES • 65 international projects(FP6, FP7, TEMPUS, COST, WUS, CEEPUS) • 120 national scientific projectsfinanced by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. • The Faculty publishes three international journals • organizes 16 scientific and professional conferences on various aspects of engineering.

COOPERATION WITH INDUSTRY • The strategic directions of cooperation with industry are oriented to the following areas: • Defining the needs of the economy for professional profiles - directions of individual vocations that are taught at the Faculty • Coordination and direction of scientific and research work of the Faculty in accordance with a long-term economy and development programmes • Increase of efficiency of applied research of the Faculty in solving current problems of economy
