Tisk-y Salmon: Pioneering Quality Canned Salmon for Pets

Tisk-y Salmon Company, founded by Taesung Kim, Andrew Whitaker, and Mick Steier, aims to revolutionize the pet food industry with premium canned salmon. Starting in Alaska, we will establish small salmon farms with an efficient processing plant nearby. Our two-story facility will focus on cleaning salmon and canning it for cat food. We prioritize high-quality products while maintaining competitive pricing to ensure satisfaction. We will hire skilled workers experienced in salmon fishing and train staff for operational excellence. Our target customers include major grocery chains like Walmart and Hy-Vee.

  2. What We Saw • An market that can use a new supplier • A place to make this business expand greatly into a possibly world-wide supplier

  3. Where will we Produce? • Starting in Alaska with several small salmon farms • A processing factory directly next to the farms

  4. What are We really Producing? • The Tisk-y canned salmon will mostly be a cat food product for the use of pet owning families

  5. The Work Environment • Our building will be a two story processing plant • On the top floor will be the fish cleaning station, cleaning fish at 44 fish a minute. • There will be chutes to send the fish down to the bottom floor

  6. The Work Environment Cont. • On the ground floor will be the canning machines • These will put the cleaned fish into cans, then label them with our Logo • They will then be loaded directly onto shipping trucks

  7. Pricing • Our prices will begin high enough to pay loans used to start the company, then slowly lower until we reach a point of perfection • Our goal will to have customers willing to pay for a price based on quality

  8. Who will We Hire? • We will hire mainly skilled workers who know a decent amount about salmon fishing • Training will be administered to everyone

  9. Hiring Cont. • We will also be hiring lower skilled workers to work the canning machines and to clean up after fish processing

  10. Who will We Supply to? • Any large scale grocery stores • Hy-vee • Walmart • No Frills • Bakers • Bag N' Save • etc.
