Democrats • Are strongly against the suspected torture that is going on in the prison • Have cut funds for Guantanamo multiple times now, making statements about trying to close it • Want to transfer the prisoners to American soil in very well regulated prisons • Recognize that important information has been obtained through Guantanamo

Republicans • Don’t voice their opinions frequently about the situations • Have never cut funding for the prison or made statements about closing it • Strongly against bringing the prisoners into the states and placed in more regulated prisons • Recognize that important information has been obtained through Guantanmo

  3. Libertarian • Have not had a very publicized view on Guantanamo • Strongly for the rights of the prisoners because many of them have not had any trial • Believe prisoners should be moved onto American soil in more regulated prisons • Recognize that important information has been obtained through Guantanamo
