GIECP Year 2 Update: Empowering Low-Income Young Adults in Energy Careers

The Get Into Energy Career Pathways (GIECP) initiative, funded by Gates, focuses on recruiting and preparing low-income young adults (ages 16-26) for careers in the energy sector. In its second year, the program has seen significant achievements, including the recruitment of 229 students and a strong partnership with workforce systems. Major successes include the development of a pipeline for energy jobs and improved awareness of energy careers in low-income areas of North and South Carolina.
