Kairosprisonministry.org Where it is: • www.kairosprisonministry.org What it is: • Web page for public use How to use it: • Provide this website to folks who are interested in finding more information on Kairos such as new volunteers, donors, pastors, wardens, chaplains, etc. This is the website you should have on your business card and other recruiting materials

Mykairos.org Where it is: www.mykairos.org What it is: Information repository for established volunteers How to use it: Common location for all types of materials used by existing Kairos volunteers. Examples include: recruiting materials, fund raising materials, guides for every aspect of Kairos, a few of which we will discuss here today

How? • Click on "Register Weekend Info" on the left hand side of the page. • When page is open, please read the instructions and follow them exactly as indicated. • Filling in :your name (first and last),email address, Type of weekend KI Men, KI women, etc. Your state or country (if not in US),finally weekend date(s). • Next continue down the page filling in:names,phone numbers,emails (For the Weekend Leader, Advising Leader and Observing Leader) • Then enter any specific prayer appeals • Fill in the "Anti-Spam Code" and click "send info“.If everything is okay you are done • (Wait a few seconds to make sure you aren't instructed to correct, or add something else to the information you have entered) • If you are ok, hit "Return to top of Page" and you are done.

  12. How do I Change Weekend Registration details? • Go to what you want to change. Change the item or items (weekend date, Leader, etc), and “click” on "Amended?" • Then fill in the "Anti-Spam Code" and click "send info" • If everything is okay you are done • (remember to wait a few seconds to make sure you aren't instructed to correct, or add something else to the information you have entered) • If you are ok, hit "Return to top of Page" and you are done.

Task or Tool? • If you look at it as a task then: Then you see it as something that you do so that you can be forcedto change and do things a different way. • If you look at it as a tool then you will see: The purpose of the Kairos Excellence Initiative program is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our Ministry by fostering compliance with program policies defined in the current Program Manual.

Seeing it as a tool will: • Ensure that everyone knows what is expected of them using the "Wisdom of Kairos" as found in the current Program Manual • Measure our status and progress in complying with the Program Manual (you seldom improve what you do not measure) • Develop feedback information through a designed system that provides a demonstrable basis for program revisions and improvements • Continually work on improvement plans to achieve excellence • Finally be accountable for the results to our fellow team members and to Kairos Prison Ministry

Style Guide Where it is:  • www.mykairos.org > downloads > style guide What it is: • Extremely helpful document that includes: Elevator speeches (for each of the three programs, as well as the ministry as a whole); Downloadable logos for all three programs; Samples of Power Point document, Letter Head and business cards How to use it: • Elevator speeches can be used in recruiting, printed materials, bulletins, everything from a very short conversational approach to wording that can be used in your own publications (church bulletin, or news letter).  • Logos for visual materials, downloadable as well as specific instructions (color/size/scaling) for a printer - use them on your web page, email signatures, all Kairos documents, including letter head, business cards. • Templates for: Power Point, printing up your own business cards, etc.
