  2. Funding Support from Verizon • Verizon’s regulatory filing with the BPU included a $2.2M funding provision for NJEDge.Net. • The inclusion of higher education in this program is significant and will serve as the basis for strengthening systemic collaboration with the K-12 community.

  3. Allocation of Funding Support • Network Advisory Board identified two key objectives: • To bring the advanced networking capabilities of Internet2 to the NJEDge membership • Reduce the costs of participation • We now have a plan that achieves both objectives and will result in savings to the membership of $40,000 per month
