Connect • Join a network of students on your campus or across the country • Engage in ideas and discussions • Share best practices and solutions to common challenges
Learn • Explore internships, scholarships, and employment opportunities • Discover disability studies programs at other universities • Find out about testing accommodations • Prepare for study abroad and international exchange
Advocate • Work with disability leaders across the country • Elevate student voices to the national level • Educate policymakers on the needs of students with disabilities
Focus Group Activity • Divide into Small Groups • Choose a Group Leader (Remaining Members are “Ambassadors”) • Consider 3 Discussion Questions (20 mins) • Use Sketch Pads for Creative Brainstorming! • Ambassadors Visit Other Tables (10 mins) • Return to Original Tables • Discuss Conclusions and Wrap-up
