This paper investigates the role of ICT in facilitating and supporting coordination within project groups. Through two studies focusing on student groups, we conducted interviews to understand how technology impacts communication. One of the key results includes the development of a prototype SMS service named Reminder. Our findings reveal that different ICT tools support various communication types, with traditional coordination mechanisms evolving into new forms. Notably, ICT enhances collaboration not only in geographically dispersed settings but also within close-knit local groups.
