Objectives Learning for Sustainability Scotland (LfSS) • Identifying and sharing existing knowledge, expertise and lessons learned • Actively generating new knowledge and approaches • Undertaking monitoring, evaluating, international comparison and gap analysis of progress • Providing advice to practitioners, policy- and decision-makers • Sharing our learning internationallyas part of the UNU RCE Network. • Ensuring the long-term future of Learning for Sustainability Scotland.

  4. Objectives LfSS HE Task Group / EAUC HE Topic Support Network • To foster the mission and objectives of LfSS in the context of Higher Education, and in particular in the academic community • To seek ways in which interested HE practitioners from different institutions and subject areas can work together, in researching matters relevant to sustainability generally and ESD in particular • To collaborate in order to jointly apply for funding in support of Objectives 1 and 2 above

  5. Update: June 2014 Learning for Sustainability Scotland (LfSS) • Four conferences on end of UNDESD in Japan in November 2014: • 9th Global RCE Conference • ESD and Youth Conference • UN End of Decade Conference (invite only to UN recognised governments) • Reorientating Teacher Education for ESD International Conference. • LfSS encouraging the Scottish Government to become a lead nation in the forthcoming Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD • Scottish Government / LfSS end of Decade conference in Edinburgh in the last week of October 2014, date TBC
