  2. What is SchoolRack? • SchoolRack is an online tool that enables the user to create a classroom website and/or educational blog that allows teachers to collaborate with students and parents

  3. SchoolRack Features • Customizable websites with calendar, files, and clipart • Collaboration tools to communicate with students and parents • Email mailing lists • Discussion boards to moderate private discussions with students and/or parents • Assignment feature that allows teachers to post, collect and grade assignments

  4. Getting Started • Go to www.schoolrack.com to create an account • Choose the free account option • Complete the registration form • Choose your username very carefully because it will be used in your website address

SchoolRack Work Area • View My Website (on right side) • Dashboard Section • My Recent Posts – create new posts My Calendar – create and edit calendar events • My Website Section • Pages & Posts – create new page; each page contains posts • Calendar • Post Files – upload files to be used in posts • View Statistics – counts visits to pages in websites

  6. SchoolRack Work Area • Students & Parents Section • Groups • Assignments • Discussion Board • Mailing Lists

  7. Groups • Create and edit groups • Manage ungrouped subscribers

  8. Assignments • Create new assignments and modify assignments

  9. Discussion Board • Add topics • Filter topics by groups • Discussion board stats • Discussion board settings

  10. SchoolRack Work Area • Customize Site Section • Enter website heading and subheading • Select website theme • My Messages Section • My Account Section • Edit or view personal information, settings, school, private website setting, photo and delete account

  11. Teachers, Student, and Parent Collaboration • Students & Parents Section • Step 1: Create a Group • Print Group Code and distribute to students/parents • Step 2: Create an assignment or post a topic for group
