Qype Technical Key Facts • CMS: Qype is completely custom-build and doesn't use any off-the-shelfCMS product. • SQL: We use MySQL 5.0 in a master-slave configuration (1 master forwrites, 5 slaves for reads) • Web: Static content (photos, CSS, javascript) is served via ngnixwebserver from 2 load-balanced machines. Dynamic content is served byour 7x Ruby on Rails application servers, in a load-balanced config.We use ngnix and fastcgi for the app servers. • Search: Search is based on Apache Lucene and SOLR running on theTomcat java application server. We have 3 search servers, 1 master forindex writes, and 2 load balanced slaves.

Cheap manual translations.

Languages and Translations on Qype • Our needs and expectations of FLAVIUS PROJECT: • Automatic or on demand optimization of the spelling mistakes and grammar for existing content. • High quality automatic translations of user generated content: existing reviews and new reviews on the fly. Need to keep quality of writing, humor, etc within the translated review, not only the basic meaning. • Ability to improve translation tool based on user and community feedback: encourage multilingual users to check quality of translations and send us any improvements suggestions. Possibility to do trnaslation process real time and ask user for sense check • How to promote FLAVIUS? Leverage virality of community and encourage users to join the project and improve the tool (beta testers)
