Co-meditating with the Dalai Lama and Lama Surya Das 1) Think clearly of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (looking up to Him) 2) Visualize and image-in Him right before you & with you, eye-to-eye, heart to heart and look at His picture 3) Remember the splendid Guru-Lama (and his enlightened qualities) As the Compassionate Buddha and his pure, clear, warm and simply loving presence 4) Pray to Him / Her / It (with or without words, from the heartfelt core of your being) for–blessings and encouragement, inspiration, grace, protection and guidance, timeless wisdom teaching and spiritual transmission

  2. 5) Receive directly His blessings Like mouth to mouth resuscitation, mind to mind transmission, heart to heart, Through a powerfully streaming light-beam of His sublime divine energy 6) Let go and release your constricted self; Merge and dissolve with Him in the Heart-essence of sublime Presence 7) Rest joyously, radiantly, abundantly & inseparably in that exalted expanse 8) Chant repeatedly Om Dalai La-May Pray-me Home, Om Mani PedmeHung 9) Meditate in and as the Dalai Lama, Letting go and letting Him do it thru you

  3. 10) Seeing thru yourself, seeing Buddha, freeing (your bottled up innate) Buddhaness to manifest splendidly in this world, 11) And re-enter the daily world with open arms, loving eyes, giving hands and kind awareness-heart, as an Awakening Being, Light-Bearer, and Bodhisattva, uplifting and edifying the world About Dalai Lama The 14th Dalai Lama, TenzinGyatso, describes himself as a simple Buddhist monk. He is the spiritual leader of Tibet. He was born on 6 July 1935, to a farming family, in a small hamlet located in Taktser, Amdo, northeastern Tibet. At the very young age of two, the child who was named LhamoDhondup at that time, was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous 13th Dalai Lama, ThubtenGyatso. He believed to be manifestations of Avalokiteshvara or Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and the patron saint of Tibet.

About Lama Surya Das Lama Surya Das is one of the foremost Western Buddhist meditation teachers and scholars, one of the main interpreters of Tibetan Buddhism in the West, and a leading spokesperson for the emerging American Buddhism. The Dalai Lama affectionately calls him “The Western Lama.” He is leading spokesperson for the emerging Western Buddhism, is a Dzogchen lineage holder and the founder of the Dzogchen Foundation. He leads lectures and retreats worldwide and regularly organizes the annual Western Buddhist Teachers Conference with the Dalai Lama.
