  2. The figures on the next slide are common three-dimensional figures, also called space figures or solids. The space figures you will study in this book are prisms, pyramids, cylinders, cones, and spheres.

  4. You can use the shape of a base to help you name a space figure. For each figure, describe the bases and name the figure.

  5. Check Understanding: a. Name each figure. b. Name each figure

  6. A net is a pattern you can form into a space figure. Example 2: Naming Space Figures From Nets Name the space figure you can form from each net.

  7. Homework • pages 541 - 543 • #s 1-12, 28-36 • write problems and answers, EXCEPT for word problems and multiple-choice problems • SHOW ALL WORK! • failure to write problems and/or show work will result in either receiving partial or no credit
