This week in English, we focused on writing a basic literary analysis. On Tuesday, we defined literary analysis and worked on our "Lit Analysis Tool Box." On Wednesday, we dissected a thesis using the notecard strategy with the poem "O Captain! My Captain!" For Thursday, we explored various poems to analyze their themes, tones, and imagery, forming our own thesis statements. Finally, on Friday, we built a thesis based on one of the analyzed poems, sharing our findings with classmates and preparing for upcoming assignments.
