  8. Metaphor • Person or thing using words that are not meant to be taken literally • Leave like and as out

  9. Imagery • Imagery can be used for emotinal effect • Sound,touch,taste,smell

  10. Idiom • Different meaning from the literal meaning of its individual words

  11. Consonance • The repetiton of internal or ending consonant sound close together
