PCA Staff PCA SIG The Maintenance and the Validation Teams • Maintenance Team • A group of experts that may be set up by a parent committee following the rules in the ISO/IEC Directives for the establishment of Working Groups • A MT may be called upon by the TC/SC secretary to provide expertise in the preparation of change requests or items for evaluation or validation • Validation Team • A permanent, “executive”, group of individuals appointed by and acting as delegates on behalf of their National Bodies • Seems to meet SC4 needs • Single Maintenance Team • Multiple sector-specific Validation Teams

  8. Proposed Initial SIG’s • Basic RDL • Electrical • Instrumentation • Rotating Equipment • Static Equipment • Heat Transfer • Piping & Valves Properties should be dealt with within the respective SIG’s Activities the same way. Will probably not be top priority.

  10. PCA will develop a set of procedures to mirror this process and corresponding status codes Proposal to SC4 RDDB or PCA approved PCA Process for the Development of PCA RDL and submissions of propsals to ISO

Consequences • PCA RDS/WIP is the tool for both PCA RDL and SC4 RDDB • The PCA RDL will in principle cover the whole triangle • Only the ‘Core’ RDL level is within the scope of the SC4 RDDB under the current regime • May be extended to cover the ‘Standard’ level? Must be covered! • Objects may be accepted in the PCA RDL, but be rejected by or be out of scope for the SC4 RDDB • References to external names and identifiers are expected to be a central part of the PCA RDL (Ref. AEX, BIM etc.) • Outside scope for the SC4 RDDB • We will therefore have to have separate regimes, incl. status codes for the PCA RDL and the SC4 RDDB • Levels of procedures • SC4 will prepare procedures and status codes based on the ISO/IEC Directives, ISO Supplement Annex ST, Procedure for the development and maintenance of standards in database format (STD_DBs N52 (Rev.1)) • The PCA Procedure and Status codes will mirror the SC4 Procedures • Levels of Procedures: ISO/IEC-> ISO SC4 -> PCA.
