  2. The Nest—Center for Women, Children and Families is a local, nonprofit organization that promotes healing, stability and well-being of children and families.   4. “Empowering young people to become global leaders in creating a just and sustainable future.” KAYLEIGH WILLIAMS *Know the target audience- these billionaires are all leaders in their fields, emphasize that this organization is creating the next generation of leaders -these leaders will be socially and environmentally conscious, promoting the values that this group appears to support -through funding this program the billionaires can leave a legacy of leaders who use their power to promote positive causes *Describe funding this organization as a smart investment such that the service being provided is a set of skills, and thus the benefits last for a long time and can even be passed to others *Emphasize that by supporting the development of socially and environmentally conscious leaders, these billionaires are furthering their own goals stated as part of the Give 50% cause by empowering others to act to promote positive causes

Transportation Safety Isn’t Sexy CAROLINE DICKSON But it impacts everyone, everywhere, every day • 30,000+ traffic fatalities on US roadways in 2012 • Across income levels, stages of life, communities, etc., with individual needs • Child safety seats • Teen drivers & older drivers • Pedestrians & bicyclists • Planes, trains, automobiles • Access to public transportation • Nelson Mandela joined the cause, after great-granddaughter killed in 2010 Why safety? • Researchers need funding to identify life-saving campaigns (i.e. Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement program), technologies (i.e. guardrails), and equipment (child safety seats) GIVE GREAT in the everyday for your children, your children’s children…our future!

After-school arts program for inner-city youth • Aggressive online presence • (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Storify, YouTube every social media platform available) to lend credibility • Shoot a video about my nonprofit and use actual children/families we’ve helped • Extend an invitation for the Billionaire(s) to visit so they can see the work we’re doing for themselves • Send some of the creations made by the kids; host a benefit performance • Call my friend who works for Oprah and beg her to “accidentally” leave the marketing materials on Oprah’s desk.
