This proposal outlines innovative eCommerce methods to increase student recruitment at Kettering University. By enhancing online engagement through platforms like Facebook and improving virtual tours, we can create a more appealing experience for prospective students. Further, integrating tools like BlackBoard and utilizing Success Zone resources will facilitate better communication between students and advisors. Promoting our unique community features can set Kettering apart from competitors, ultimately leading to higher enrollment and a vibrant student body.

Using eCommerce to Recruit New Students By: Matt and Mel
Problem We need to come up with a way, using eCommerce, that will result in more students choosing Kettering.
Alternative Solutions • Use Facebook or MySpace • Improved Virtual Tours • Increase in advisor/RA/potential student relations (via email) Q&A • Improve/Enhance Success Zone
Choice • Success Zone • Good Resource • Front Page • Personal Page • Little promotion to prospective and current students (current students could volunteer) • Integrate more with BlackBoard • Only admitted students have access • Use StickMan (Success Zone “mascot”) more • ie On Shirts, in Informational Packets sent out, Future Students tab • Need more money in budget
Implement (Our Predictions) • With more PR, more incoming/prospect students can utilize the Success Zone • Upperclassman can help with Success Zone and increase exposure • Sets Kettering apart from other schools (what other school has a “facebook type” community to answer questions and offer advice?)
