  2. Objectives for Portland meeting • Establish Regulatory Group as Permanent Group with a Charter • Work on PAR rules amendment • Submit Comment on FNPRM 99-231 • To prepare and submit other position statements if needed • e.g. Spectrum requirement 5 GHz band Vic Hayes, Agere Systems

Rules for 802 level Regulatory work (11-01/416) • Draft set of rules available for an “SEC Standing Committee” • Members are Working Group members • Votes on actions by Working Group • Includes authority for Tele-conferences, e-mail ballots and quick action • Multiple usage, charter to be established at establishment time Vic Hayes, Agere Systems
