  2. A call to action We want to accelerate efforts to increase women's representation at senior levels in business, building on the work already completed within our organisations and across the Male Champions of Change (MCC) group. Conversations with our people reinforced wide-ranging research on this topic which says there is no ‘silver bullet’. This paper therefore proposes a set of interconnected and transformative ‘big ideas’ to reset the current course we are on - where representation of women at senior levels remains unacceptably low and the pace of change is far too slow. Taking action together will be the critical ingredient to achieving a long overdue step change on this issue in Australian business. The ten big ideas contained in the strategy: Are bold and taken together, amount to a co-ordinated, focused and systemic intervention Aim for a significant, sustainable increase of women in leadership positions and talent pipelines Address systemic, policy, behavioural and cultural impediments and enablers identified through the focus groups Deal with topics that are highly charged, deeply personal and often generationally nuanced Are inspired by our conversations with women and men in our organisations who are ready to lead and champion this work
