GENERAL INFORMATION - SITUATION –INVIRONMENT Punta Prima lies on the Mediterranean coast some 50 minutes’ drive south of Alicante aerodrome, and around 30 minutes’ drive from the mixed military and passenger air field at San Javier, Murcia. Punto is some 5 kilometres to the south west ofTorrevieja. The local beaches have earned a staggering sixty-seven European Blue Flags and vary from secluded sandy dunes with magnificent pine wood picnic areas to long flat sandy beaches extending manykilometres. There are literally kilometres of broad well-maintained promenade, which makes it an ideal location forwalkers. The great salt lakes nearby are wonderful bird sanctuaries where sightings of herons and flamingos arecommonplace.
