  3. How did the Apostles die? Comes from scripture, history and Church tradition… • Peter – crucified in Rome on “X” cross • Matthew – nailed to ground/beheaded • James – thrown 100’ from Temple/survived/ beaten to death with clubs 4. Mark – dragged by horses

  4. Thomas – stabbed to death with spear • Bartholomew – flayed to death with a whip • Jude Thaddaeus – killed with arrows • John – boiled in oil/lived/sent to the salt mines on Patmos/only to die of natural causes
