    2. 10/3/06 Frank Perry: Secretary-SAE-DSRC Technical Committee 2 The SAE-DSRC Technical Committee is charged with developing the message sets (structure and content) used for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-roadside communications over DSRC. The Standard that contains the SAE-DSRC defined messages is J2735 The Technical Committee meets monthly ,alternating between face-to-face and pure conference calls. Several Subcommittees were formed to develop the data elements and messages necessary to support various Use Cases defined by the Technical Committee in cooperation with the National Vehicle Infrastructure Integration Working VII) Working Group The Subcommittees are formed around the P1609 ACIDs The Subcommittees bring data element and message recommendations to the Technical Committee for approval.     3. 10/3/06 Frank Perry: Secretary-SAE-DSRC Technical Committee 3 J2735 version 1 passed the Technical Committee Ballot in August 2006. Its currently being reviewed by the SAE Motor Vehicle Consul for final approval (expected 1st week of October 2006) Once passed by the Motor Vehicle Consul, the document will go to publishing (Published document expected 2nd week of November 2006). J2735 Status

    4. 10/3/06 Frank Perry: Secretary-SAE-DSRC Technical Committee 4 58 Data Elements These data elements are new or uniquely defined for J2735 29 External Data Entries These data elements are defined in other standards and included in J2735 13 Data Concepts These data elements are still in development in this edition of the standard. They are presented as thought starters with the anticipation that the subcommittees will refine them and present recommendations back to the Technical Committee J2735 Version 1 Data Elements
