  1. Hadith Session 2 Ramzan Shahid

  2. Commands • Allah (SWT) has commanded mankind to perform various acts • Prayer • Fasting • Zakat • Hajj

  3. Commands • Allah (SWT) Himself does not do any of these acts/commands • He does not pray • He does not fast • He does not need to do of these – He is Allah (SWT), the Creator of everything

  4. Command • However, there is one act that He tells mankind to do that He Himself also does. • Can you imagine how important that act must be if Allah Himself does it.

  5. Command • In fact, before Allah (SWT) commands mankind to this act, Allah (SWT) says he does it first and then tells mankind to do it. • Not only does Allah (SWT) do this act, but all the angels to it as well.

  6. Command • So Allah (SWT) says He does this act, His angels do this act, then He commands the believers to do this act. • What is this act?

  7. Surah Ahzab (33), Ayat 56 • Verily Allah and His angels send salaam and blessings on the Prophet (SAW); O People who Believe! You too should send blessings and abundant salutations (salaam) upon him.

  8. Why send Salaam on the Prophet (SAW) • To show respect for Him • To show that we are thankful for all that He did for Islam • It is because of Him that you and I are Muslim 1400 years later

  9. Why send Salaam on the Prophet (SAW) • On the Day of Judgment He will look for all the people in His Ummah and help them get into Heaven • He will act as an intercessor for us • He will not enter Heaven until all of His Ummah as entered Heaven • He will allow us to drink from His blessed hands the water from River Kawther

  10. Sending Salaam • We do it 5 times a day in our prayer already be reciting Darood-e-Ibrahim

  11. Darood-e-Ibrahim • Allahumma! Send blessings upon (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and upon the followers of (Holy Prophet) Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibraheem and upon the followers of Ibraheem; indeed, You are praiseworthy and glorious. Allahumma! Bless (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and the followers of (Holy Prophet) Muhammad as You blessed Ibraheem and the follower of Ibraheem; indeed, You are praise worthy and glorious.

  12. Sending Salaam • Should send Salaam/recite Darood more often • Must say whenever we hear the name of the Prophet (SAW)

  13. Hadith • The Prophet (SAW) was climbing the member and took one step and then said “Ameen”. He took a second step and said “Ameen”. He took a third step and said “Ameen”. The companions asked him why he said Ameen three times.

  14. Hadith • The Prophet (SAW) said: “Angel Jibraeel came to me and made a dua to curse 3 types of people and I said Ameen after each one.” • Anyone cursed in this way will mean certain destruction on the Day of Judgment

  15. Hadith • Angel Jibraeel said: Curse be upon that person who sees the month of Ramadan and does not attain forgiveness in that month. And I said “Ameen”.

  16. Hadith • Angel Jibraeel said: Curse be upon that person who finds their parents in an old age and does not attain Heaven by serving them. And I said “Ameen”.

  17. Hadith • Angel Jibraeel said: Curse be upon that person who hears my name and does not say And I said “Ameen”.

  18. Hadith • Look at who is making this dua – Angel Jibraeel • Look at who is saying Ameen after the dua – Prophet Muhammad (SAW) • Don’t you think this will be answered

  19. Hadith • Prophet Muhammad (SAW) never cursed anyone • He even forgave the people of Taif • But these 3 types of people he did curse

  20. Hadith • We must make sure that we are not one of these cursed people on the Day of Judgment • Take full advantage of Ramadan • Take care of our parents • Say when hearing the Prophet’s name

  21. Best Way To Show Respect • Reciting Darood is one way to show respect for the Prophet (SAW) • Best way?

  22. Best Way To Show Respect • Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) • Follow the Hadith of the Prophet (SAW) • Follow the footsteps of the Prophet (SAW)

  23. Hadith • Prophet (SAW) said: When the dwellers of Paradise will have reached there and its superlative boons will been conferred upon them, Allah will speak to them: “O dwellers of Heaven, are you pleased with what you have been given here?”

  24. Hadith • They will reply: “Why should we not be pleased when You have granted us everything that we could ever want.” • Allah will inquire: “May We bestow upon you something which is even more superior than these joys?”
