1. Title: suggesting a distinctive atmosphere and aura of the magazine, also giving connotations to music vibrations which links to the topic of the magazine being music. This is done to give the possible reader the clear indication of what the magazine entails. The title is very bold and clear in red writing to attract attention when on a shelf in a shop, drawing more attention to their magazine. Image: Central image to create more of an attraction to a popular singer being in this case ‘Trey Songz’. They have used him because he has a high sex appeal to women which could widen the target audience for vibe, trying to draw more women into purchasing the magazine. He’s widely associated with R&B and rap, which gives the indication of the contents of the magazine. Layout: they’ve added the title of the magazine at the top of the page for easy identification when on the shop shelf. With the main image covering part of the title indicates that vibe is widely recognised and doesn’t require the whole title to be on show. With the content placed on the outside of the image for main attraction to the image but giving some attention to the contents of the magazine. Contents: The content on the outside of the magazine that adds additional information to the initial stand out information on the front page draws more attention to the magazine by adding numerous different stories and by adding a contest to the front page draws even more attention to their target audience.

2. The title ‘Q’ [;aced at the top of the page with the contents right beside it which is in big text highlighting that they’re important. The main image has been focused largely in the centre of the page with a widely known singer ‘Adele’ being used for the image. They had used Adele to draw more attention from the target audience and maybe even attract women to the magazine as she is typically known to attract more women than men. The picture is very simple yet effective with a close up shot of her with very simple make and hair. Layout: the layout of this contents Page is very conventionally set out by having the columns at the side and the main image being a popular singer (Adele) in the middle. Under each title there’s a short summary of what story is on that particular page, making it easy for the reader to go to the page they require. The contents has also had a banner behind it to draw more attention to the features. The summary Is also in the same font size as is the page number indicating that it is all of the same importance. In the bottom right hand corner they’ve placed here the most important articles and their page numbers. They’ve separated this from the main section of the contents information to highlight the importance of these stories and draw more readers to this section.

3. Title: the title is very bold and outstanding in comparison to the rest of the contents of the magazine. With colour being used to attract attention to the magazine whilst being on the stands. The colours used are very light and easy to look at, almost indicating that its for the attraction of women. Image: Large central image of Beyonce, supporting the idea of it being for the audience of women. They have used Beyonce because she is an extremely popular singer with women and men. She appeals to both very strongly within women to be an icon and men for her sex appeal. However, in the image it is very reserved and she isn’t showing any flesh which contradicts her sex appeal to men and seems to give the indication that she is trying to portray a more respectable image in this magazine cover and that its more for the appeal of women. Contents: They have included a promotional offer to instigate sales of the magazine and create interest within buying the magazine. They have also used multiple different stories of which will be included within the magazine, creating even more attention to the contents of the magazine. Target audience: the target audience seems to be 18-30 year olds with the possibility of it being higher due to the appeal that Beyonce has towards a high range of different age groups.
