2014 OFC Significant Changes and New Amendments The purpose of this training is to give Oregon Fire Code users an update on the significant changes between the 2009 International Fire Code (IFC) and the 2012 IFC and an update on any new Oregon amendments added to the 2014 Oregon Fire Code (2014 OFC) that were not in the 2010 OFC.

The minimum qualifications of the system designer and lead installation personnel shall include: 1. A valid FCC-issued general radio operators license; and

When an emergency responder radio coverage system is required, and upon completion of installation, the building owner shall have the radio system tested to ensure that two-way coverage on each floor of the building is a minimum of 90 percent. The test procedure shall be conducted as follows: 1. Each floor of the building shall be divided into a grid of 20 approximately equal test ares.

The test shall be conducted using a calibrated portable radio of the latest brand and model used by the agency talking through the agency’s radio communications system. 3. A clear, brush-free area of 10 feet (3038 mm) shall be required for grpund-mounted photovoltaic arrays.

A gravel base or other non-combustible base acceptable to the fire code official shall be installed and maintained under and around the installation. 605.12.3 Security barriers. Fencing, skirting, or other suitable security barriers shall be installed when equired by the fire code official.
