Creating a Global Change Collage: A Collaborative Environmental Project

Join us in a meaningful project to create a collage that illustrates how individuals can contribute to global change through visuals. This project involves the entire class in data collection on carbon dioxide usage, the greenhouse effect, and strategies to combat climate change. Over six weeks, we’ll gather tools, research impactful information, and assemble our collage to raise awareness. The final product will be assessed based on how well it informs others, fulfilling key learning objectives of the AP Environmental Science outline.

  4. Needs to include data collection, analysis, and reporting of conclusions. • Collecting data on how much carbon dioxide is used by the school. • Collecting data on how we can help to slow down global warming. • Collecting information on how we can reduce climate change.

  5. Tell me how many people you need to do this project. Define roles. • The entire class can be involved in finding effective pictures for this collage.

  6. 6 Week timeline defining different portions of the project. Identify mileposts. • Week one: gather the necessary tools. • Week two: gather information on the green house effect, the impact and consequences of global warming, and the reducing of climate change. • Week three: gather pictures on these topics. • Week four & five: BUILD THE COLLAGE.

  7. Project clearly tied to at least 3 learning objectives from the AP Environmental Science Course Outline, Topics VI, and VII. • Green house effects. • Impact and consequences of global warming. • Reducing of climate change.
