  17. “Topheth” in Jeremiah 7:31-32 and 19:6-14 Tophet (Topheth) in the valley of the son of Hinnom. Tophet was the place in that valley where the continual fires were kept up, in and through which they consecrated their children to Moloch. “Topheth” (fireplace, Isa.30:33) was a high place in the Valley of Hinnom just south of Jerusalem where child sacrifices were offered to Molech 2 Kings 23:10
