  7. Demographics: Occupation • Employed full-time: 43% • Other: 25% • Full-time student: 16% • Employed part-time: 12% • Part-time student: 2% • Student employed part-time: 2 %

  8. Important Variables and Findings • Age • Occupational status • Children • Amount of time in residence • Feelings towards smoke-free policies • Knowledge of smoking policies • Preference for living in smoke-free housing or not • Willingness to pay more for smoke-free

Discussion • High support from tenants for landlord’s implementing smoking policies, especially outside. • 84 % said they would choose smoke-free housing over smoking • 85% said okay to prohibit • 52% said thank landlord • 61% live on property that prohibits smoking • High level of interest in this issue • Age, occupational status, children, and amount of time in current residence were the contributing factors to perspectives on smoke-free policies.

  11. Recommendations • Invite more research on this topic. • Larger sample size. • More diverse sample. • Good base to build upon.
