  2. Study Design • Objective: To investigate the strengths and weaknesses of Yahoo! Calendar in the online calendaring landscape • Method: Four products will be tested (Yahoo! Calendar, Apple iCal, AOL Calendar and Evite) and two products per participant with all products counterbalanced so equal exposure of product per participant • Participants: Sixteen participants will be tested, participants will be familiar with at least one of the products and considered “Web savvy” who use the product primarily at home

Executive Summary • There were difficulties understanding what to do next because of confusion over labeling of terminology • Users were hesitant to share their calendar with anyone on the Web • Users expected separation of different event types because it was easier to understand how to distinguish between work and home events • There were difficulties understanding what to do next because of lack of visual cues and confusion on what would happen if clicked on a button • There were difficulties accessing the calendar from the start page due to confusing labeling terminology • Users were unclear about the different options that reminders could be sent to their invitees

  4. Specific Findings Yahoo! Inc. • There were confusion over the Find Free Times function and what were its functionalities • Users were unclear on what item to enter into the text field

  5. Specific Findings AOL Calendar • There were some confusion about the Publish terminology • Some users were hesitant to choose this option because they did not want anyone to see their calendar
