Although yeast is generally a harmless inhabitant of the digestive system and vaginal area, it may cause an infection when the skin is damaged, when conditions are warm, and when a person is having a depressed immune system.Antibiotics can further cause yeast to grow, as the natural bacteria in tissues are killed, letting the yeast grow unhampered.

  3. What is the diagnosis of Candidiasis? In addition to a medical history and physical examination, a physician may scrape off a skin sample to confirm the diagnosis with a microscope or a culture.

  4. What are the symptoms of Candidiasis? Some of the symptoms of candidiasis vary as it depends on the location of the infection. The following are the most common symptoms of a yeast infection. However, each may experience symptoms differently. The symptoms of candidiasis can resemble some of the different skin conditions as well. You should always consult with your doctor for a diagnosis.
