  1. Renewable еnergy sources in Bulgaria

  2. Energy sources Renewable energy sources are solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and that which is derived from plant and animal biomass. Production of renewable energy is supported by the Bulgarian and European legislation.

  3. WIND ENERGY Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of energy, such as using wind turbines to make electricity, wind mills for mechanical power etc. In Bulgaria there are several geographical areas that are suitable mainly for the construction of medium- sized wind turbines.

  4. WIND ENERGY IN BULGARIA There are wind farms in some parts of Bulgaria-Kavarna, Balchik, Sliven and Targovishte. Sliven Каvarna Balchik

  5. HYDRO ENERGY Hydroelectricity is the production of electrical power through the use of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water. Hydropower plants are traditionally well-developed renewable source of energy in Bulgaria.

  6. HYDRO ENERGY IN BULGARIA Svoge Byal izvor Most hydropower plants are in the Rhodope Mountains, but there are some with little capacity in Rila and Pirin.

  7. SOLAR ENERGY Solar energy is the energy that comes from the sun. It works by converting the sun's rays into electricity, into heat and hot air.

  8. SOLAR ENERGY IN BULGARIA Korean investors liked the sun and chose Samovodene over uncultivated lands near the village to build Europe's first fully Korean photovoltaic park.

  9. BIOMASS ENERGY Biomass refers torenewable sources of energy that come from living organisms as well those that have recently died. These include wood, grasses, grains, oils produced from trees or vegetables, household garbage, and more.

  10. BIOMASS ENERGY IN BULGARIA In Bulgaria we grow plants so that they can be turned into biomass and create energy.  The main products that are made from energy crops are bioethanol and Biodiesel.

  11. GEOTHERMAL ENERGY Geothermal energy is heat from within theEarth. We can recover thisheat as steam or hot water and use it to heat buildings or generate electricity. Geothermal energy is a renewable energy sourcebecause the heat is continuously produced inside the Earth.

  12. GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IN BULGARIA Bulgaria has a sizable reserve of geothermal energy and is rich in geothermal waters used for space heating, greenhouses, drinking water, and balneology. There is a potential for electricity generation from geothermal wells but it is still not developed.

  13. TIDAL AND WAVE ENERGY Though Bulgaria has a sea it can’t use the energy of the tides and waves as their force is not enough.
