  5. Literacy - Phonics We teach phonics – the sounds of the letters, not the names We encourage children to begin word building ASAP using taught sounds Sounds are not taught in alphabetical order to allow children to make words early on in their learning Sounds are taught with an action

  6. Literacy - Reading Children will be provided with a Bug Club login and password Children will be allocated reading books using this system Traditional reading books will also be provided Children will be given key words as well as being taught decoding skills

  8. Homework Active Homework Bags Homework Diary Folders for letters & correspondence

  9. Topic Fairyland Cross Stage Working

  10. Soft Start Door open from 8.50am, children can come in and begin to get themselves ready

  11. Behaviour Traffic Light System in all classes Golden Tickets to reinforce good behaviour, which relate to the Golden Rules
