Our Banner database instance, now over 350 GB, consists of hundreds of tables containing Student, HR, and Finance data. Each day, approximately 300 active users interact with Banner, with even more using Self Service features during key periods like registration. The OLTP (On-Line Transaction Processing) system works alongside the Banner ODS (Operational Data Store), which is a real-time replica of the Banner database utilizing Oracle Streams technology. The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) aggregates this data, enabling strategic analytics for informed business decisions.
