  3. June 7 • Proposed date for BC NSQIP SCR meeting • 5 weeks before National Conference – does anyone see this as an issue for travel • one day only with possible topics • data – drilling down, working with data over time • Chapter 4 definitions • presenting data to multidisciplinary teams

  4. Other possible dates? • May 31, June 3? • does midweek work better vs Fri/Mon?

  5. SAR/Site Visits • Are there any questions about the SAR? • Do you want me to do a quick presentation on reading the SAR? • Any sites who would like a visit in May to go over their SAR in depth, drill down into their data or have help with projects etc…I am available and I would love to come visit your site

  6. Managing Workflow • NSQIP offers several online reports that can help you manage your workflow • Some are not applicable to Canadian sites • Under two headings… • Workflow Reports • Database Statistics • What reports do you currently use to help with workflow?

  7. 30 Day Patient Letter • No as useful for Canada since we don’t record patient names and addresses • You can download a template and use it with your own excel document to create the letter • How do your sites send out letters? Most that I know of use a mail merge with an excel crosswalk….

  8. Request for Medical Records • Again, not as useful for Canada since we don’t use the chart # or medical record # on the workstation • Does anyone use this for anything else?

  9. 30 Day Call List • Creates a list of patients with incomplete follow up • Cases that are completed but did not have 30 day follow-up will still show up • This is useful when trying to complete old cases and re-call patients that have not had complete follow up • All contact info show up so you can see what has happened on previous calls

  10. Other Workflow Related Reports

  11. Aging Case Report • Similar to 30 Day call list • Shows all cases without 30 day follow up that are with 120 days of surgery • Does not give follow up info but does give the age category of the case and then complete/incomplete status

  13. 8 Day Cycle Report Summary

  14. List Complete Assesment • Lists cases with complete assessments within a specific date range • Does anyone use this for anything?

  15. List Incomplete Assessments • Similar to ageing case report and 30 day call list • Only shows cases that are incomplete, not cases that have been completed but didn’t have full 30 day follow-up • Can select date range

  16. List Unable to Follow Cases • Lists cases that could not be followed up for 30 days • These cases may be completed on the system but they did not have a full 30 day follow up
