  2. Warm-up • What is an observation? And why are observations important to science?

  3. Practicing Observations • You will have 30 seconds to make as many observations as you can about the following pictures:

  4. How observant were you? • 1) What color is the tip of the orange fish’s fins? • 2) What color is the starfish? • 3) How many total sea creatures are in the picture?

  5. How observant were you? • 1) What street were we looking at? • 2) What store were we looking at in the picture? • 3) What color was lit in the traffic light? • 4) What was the number on the bus? • 5) Which direction is the no turn sign pointing?
