Internet Publishing: Six Good Ideas Why Publish on the Internet? There are many cruising the Internet for physics information – Yes, that’s right! What’s in a hit or visit? Course Information and Resources Student portfolios Web service projects
Why Publish on the Internet? • Information when people need it. Findable through Google • Quick and easy for author – just save in html format in Word etc. • Easy for the student to copy, to get great diagrams, view mpg’s, etc. “It’s in their hands” • Eager students can get additional Info • It can help [reach] many people
2. There are many people cruising the Internet for physics information • Slinky started it all. It received 3 times the e-mail that my home page received. • Mine 24000 in 8 years about 8 per day. • Slinky 105,000 in 6 years or 50 per day.
The Audience was seen in the response to my Physics .mpg site On line for three month and already Visited by many countries: Belgium, Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Slovenia,20 countries in all!! In the years 12 articles in Physics Teacher 2 over seas responses Some Great Universities come to call.
