Overarching Objective • “To offer students and staff the best experience possible by providing high standard teaching, learning and office accommodation which is fit for purpose, flexible, sufficient but not unnecessarily generous in terms of volume, efficiently used and cost effectively delivered.” Key Facts • 18,892 students (excluding Artscom) • 33% international • 2,229 salaried staff • 2,003 Associate Lecturers • 15 academic properties across London • 177,510m² gross internal area (non-residential) • 12 residential halls providing 2960 bed spaces

Central St Martins College of Art & Design Original Property Portfolio • 9 buildings across 4 sites • Poor net to gross floor area, circa 65% • Not fit for purpose – traditional buildings (some historic listed) and not flexible for adaptation • Poor state of repair and significant maintenance backlog • Disparate locations across London resulting in duplication of functions • Statutory compliance issues including physical access • Mixture of freehold and leasehold interests
