What is PayPal? • An eBay company • PayPal lets any business or consumer with an email address to securely, conveniently, and cost-effectively send and receive payments online. • Ideally suited for groups currently under served by traditional payment mechanisms
Opening a Chapter PayPal Account • Easy and quick • Requirements: Chapter E-mail Address & Chapter Bank Account • Choose PayPal Business Account • Complete the simple 2-page registration form
Using PayPal • Market PayPal • Flyer • Add button to website • Evite • Members must open own PayPal personal account • Credit card • Bank Account information • VISA, MC, AMEX, Discover, or a bank account
Using PayPal • Member sends money to Chapter email address • Member must use comments section for: • Name • Contact number • Event they are attending • PayPal emails confirmations to both the sender and receiver. • Chapter can either keep a balance in their PayPal account or transfer it to the Chapter bank account.
