  2. Early life • Matthew Stokes grew up Darwin with his mum and dad John and Jennifer. Also his three sisters Jaylene, Anne- Maree and Amy. Matthew played basketball cricket and rugby league. Matthew played basketball with Luke Hodge, Luke Ball and Nick Dal Santo in the under 17s. Matthew got draughted to Geelong in 2002.
