  5. Fact about Snowboarding • Snowboarding is considered to have been invented by the Austrian Jack Burchett.

  6. Equipment • Flexible board for the half pipe and the slop style.

  7. Soft boots are worn for the half pipe.

  8. A hard plastic helmet is required for all snowboard competitors.
