Community Reporting Requirements • All communities funded by SPF SIG grantees are required to submit data to the cross-site evaluation. • Two evaluation instruments will be completed by communities: • Community-Level Instrument (CLI) Parts I & II assesses progress through the SPF steps and implementation of strategies • Participant-Level Instrument (PLI) assesses change in individuals receiving direct services (where applicable).

  3. Purpose of Collecting Community-Level Instrument (CLI) Data • Assess community implementation of the SPF process, changes in communities’ prevention infrastructure, and types of interventions implemented. • Assess obstacles to the implementation of the SPF and prevention interventions.

  4. Purpose of Collecting Community-Level Instrument (CLI) Data • Assess the overall impact of the SPF SIG initiative. • Identify characteristics of community-level interventions and approaches that are most effective in producing population-level and participant-level outcomes. • Assist policymakers as they design and implement future initiatives.

  5. Community-Level Instrument • CLI Part I: Community Activities • Collects information about the community’s progress through the 5 SPF steps • Submitted annually • CLI Part II: Prevention Intervention Strategies • Collects information about the community’s implementation of specific prevention interventions and strategies

  6. Jurisdictional Assessment Final Report Identify Community CLI assesses the steps of the SPF process

  7. CLI Part I Process • Who Completes: • Sections 1-3- ADAA • Sections 4-9- Representative of funded community • How often: annually • Reporting Period: October 1- September 30 • Completion time: • Sections 4-9: ~3 hours • How to access CLI: • Evaluation tab in web-based system: www.pmrts.samhsa.gov/pmrts

  8. CLI Responsibilities: Communities • Community representative can enter data at any point in the reporting period. • Community representative saves CLI Part I as a pdf and sends it to Evaluation team by the dates provided on the data entry schedule.

  9. Survey Data Entry Schedule

  10. CLI Responsibilities: Evaluation Team and ADAA • Reviews CLI data completed by the community representative • Accepts and submits CLI to ADAA for approval OR • Sends back to community for revisions or further clarification

  11. Materials Needed • Jurisdictional Assessment Final Report • Results of needs/resources assessments • Meeting minutes • Strategic Plans • Coalition documents • Memoranda of understanding • Organizational Policies • Budgets • Intervention materials • Evaluation findings/reports
