This session explores the concept of Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) in educational settings. We will introduce the agenda and clarify the purpose of ensuring students with disabilities are educated alongside their peers to the greatest extent possible. Participants will learn to define LRE, correct common misconceptions, and examine successful and current practices. The importance of data in decision-making, as well as proper documentation in IEPs, will be emphasized, culminating in a reflection on next steps and evaluation strategies.
