  2. What Are They? • Raves are described as all night, high energy dances. Where drugs are solicitated to individuals of any age. Glow sticks are seen everywhere swirling through the air.

  3. Raise the Age Limit Many of the minors that attend these events have no clue what the drugs incorporated at these events can do. So many of those minors who attend, end up in the hospital either suffering injuries or dead. TEEN ON LIFESUPPORT DUE TO NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE DRUGS HE WAS TAKEN.

  4. Three Reasons Why It Should Be Raised • Drugs: Many minors that come into contact at these raves, fall under the influence of peer pressure and experiment with drugs. Unaware of the consequences or the effects of these drugs • Death Of Minors: Many minors are either injured or die due to the environment that is from these events called Raves. The death rate for raves has been at its all time high. • Age Limits DO Have a purpose: There are many things that have an age limit for a reason. This reason is to protect minors and keep them safe

  5. #1 Reason Age Should Be Raised • DRUGS • MDMA (E or X) • GHB (Liquid X or G) • Methamphetamine • Ketamine (K or Special K) • Rohypnol (Roofies) • LSD (Acid) • Cocaine • Marijuana These drugs and more are found at these raves. They are slipped/sold/given to minors who most of the time do not know what the consequences could be while taken them. These drugs can lead to serious injury or even death.

  6. #2 Reason Age Should Be Raised • Death Rates For ages 14-18 years old have raised to the amount over doses of minors irresponsible use of drugs. • L.A. Rave early 2010 • 226 Injured • 114 hospitalized • 3 died (under 18 yrs) • L.A. 15 years old taken of life support from no knowledge the drug she took. (CBS)

  7. #3 Reason Age Should Be Raised There is a reason that we have age limits on things that surround our communities. Its to benefit our community by keeping those in it safe and out of trouble. • Not of legal age to drive. • Not old enough to stay past curfew. • Not old enough to buy smokes or alcohol. • Not old enough to get into a club or bar. If you are not of age to stay past curfew and stay out until 3 AM until these events end. You shouldn’t be at them at all.

What Will Happen If Changes Aren’t Made.. • If change isn’t in the future, we will sadly face the consequences as individuals. • Drug use will continue to sky rocket among young adults. • The Death Rate will also rise causing heartache to family and friends • Young adults will continue on breaking boundaries and causing public issues due to not following rules and boundaries.

  9. Position • If we change it the more under age drug use will begin to decrease. • The death rate will also decline benefiting families to share more memories with there loved ones.
