NATURAL RESOURCES Huge reserves of gas and oil: 2,3 bln. tons of oil 1,5 bln. cub. meters of gas Groundwater and mineral water: 14,2 bln. cub. meters The first place in Russia Iron Ore: 390 bln. tons The first place in Russia 70% of Tomsk Region territory are covered by forests Peat: 29,3 bln. tons The second place in Russia Ilmenite and zircon sands: 124,7 mln. cub. meters

  7. OIL & GAS Tomsk Region is one of the ten Russian regions, which are producing oil and gas intensively.
