Coaching Is An Extensive Job • More Than A Counselor • Coaches help us assess the present so we can excel in the future. • More Than A Consultant • Coaches work over extended periods of time to enhance performance in multiple areas. • More Than A Mentor • Coaches provide proactive instructions to ensure progress.

God’s Word on Coaching • “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.” • Proverbs 12:15 • “Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed.” • Proverbs 15:22 • “Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days. Coaches Help Leaders In 3 Ways… • Observe: Spend so much time watching, that I know your observations will be valid. • Instruct: Share your experiences, so that I know precisely what step to take next. • Inspire: Speak consistently and persuasively about the success I could and should enjoy in the future.
