  4. Testing for Fat • For the fast test I put a small piece of doughnut onto a round paper for a minute. • After that I hold it up on the light and see if there is a small light coming out of the hole then there is fat. If there isn't then there is no fat. • For doughnuts we tested that there is fat in it. Many fat in it.

  5. Testing for Glucose • For this test we put in glucose into a test tube and we also put in pieces of doughnuts and mix them together and then put it in a heating pot. You keep it there for about 2 minutes. • After that you take it out of the heating pot and see if there is a change of color. • The color has to be orange. • If is orange then you have done the experiment successfully.

  6. Testing For Protein • Testing Protein is basically the same things as testing glucose. • First of all you have to put in in this squishing pot and squish it until its not solid anymore. Then you just put in water and some Benedict solution into it and then you just put it in the heating pot. • After 2 minutes you take it out and see what color it is. • The final color should be dark purple or dark blue.

  7. Testing for Starch • Testing for starch is pretty simple. • All you have to do is get a rack that has small holes in it and put some starch and squished doughnut into it and then put water on it. • You must see if it changes color or not. • If it does then you have done the right thing.
