Your copy is used for classwork and homework • From time to time, your teacher will ask you to write definitions in your vocabulary copy
Specific Learning Objective • At the beginning of each class, you find out what you are going to learn in class ( to understand or to know how to do something) • At the end of each class you tell your teacher if you understand
Homework • Homework is given every day • It must be written in your homework journal • Tell your teacher before you leave the room if you think you will have problems doing your homework • Homework must be clearly labelled in your science copy • Homework must be attempted
Homework • If you have problems doing your homework, you must write a note in your copy explaining which part is difficult • An adult at home must sign this note and also write to your teacher in the diary that the science homework is incomplete
Absence • If you are absent from class due to extra curricular activities you must write the notes missed into your copy and you are expected to have the homework completed for the next class or else you will be taken off the team
Get the phone number or email address of two people in the class so you can always find out about the work missed • If you are absent from class due to illness you must write the notes missed into your copy
Continuous Assessment • FYA 1 -15% • Christmas exam -30% • FYA –15% • Summer exam –40% • You will be told by your teacher the dates and topics to study for these assessments.
